Integration with HelpMaster - Action templates

The HelpMaster Web Portal also allows clients to update their existing jobs in a simple way by using a selected "web-enabled" Action Template or none at all.

If an action template is selected from the Mail tab of Web Settings, when the client updates thier job any fields set in the action template will be updated also. This includes the sending of any notification emails selected from the action template.  If no action template is selected then only the action details will be updated and no emails will be sent.

Selecting a web-enabled Action Template

The selected action template should be generic and not reasign the job. Same with any email templates associated with the action template. They will also be sent when the client updates their job. The Action Summary and Job Status may also be set appropriately for when clients update their jobs.

What makes a web-enabled Action Template?

An Action Template is created via the Desktop edition of HelpMaster, not all of the fields need to be filled in - some can be left blank for the staff member to fill in when they update the job.  When creating a web-enabled Action Template,  the following fields may be updated :

Once completed, the Client Web Portal checkbox on the Options tab can be checked and the template can be saved.  This Action template is now marked as a web-enabled Action Template and is available to be used with the web interfce.
