2 Replies and 6260 Views Improvements required on searching  6260  2 Started by  Timo de leeuw &160;We are currently using V9 but would really like to see improvements of the searching within Helpmaster.&160; We need to be able to search on the site name and for this to bring up the associated clients and then be able to log a call from there.&160; firstly any search field along the default toolbar allows you to search but only from the beginning of the field. So if I want to search for a site called Organic Farm Foods Ltd then typing in Organic works but if I enter 'Farm Food'...

When I click on the 'select site' icon it takes me to the SITE SEARCH window. However I would prefer if it took me to the SITE HIERARCHY&160; window. The reason is that I have many many site. These are then group (parent / child sites) such as Europe, UK customers, UK Dealers etc. It would be easier and quicker to select the required site for the client if it took me to the SITE HIERARCHY.  I have been looking through HelpMaster but I am unable to find what I am looking for. We sell blocks of IT support hours to clients and I am trying to find somewhere in HelpMaster to keep a track of this. The only thing that I can see is the cost code under General in system codes. Is it possible that we enter how many hours they have bought (eg 40 hours) and then when a job is assigned to that site, it subtracts that time from their block &160; If this is not possible, how do others go ab...

0 Replies and 5624 Views Handling SQL Server cluster failover gracefully  5624  0 Started by  Scott McKenzie The HelpMaster services (AD, Email & Priority) do not handle cluster failovers very well. &160;Whenever we failover from one node to another these services end up stopped. &160;This problem is unique to HelpMaster - other applications using the same cluster instance re-connect and continue to run. It'd be nice if these services re-try their connection to the database after some timeout period rather than failing as soon as the connection dies. &160;

0 Replies and 4610 Views Type in date directly in addition to date calendar selection.  4610  0 Started by  Dennis Odri &160; Today we received a request from an anonymous client as follows; I find the inability of been able to simply type a date into a date field (such as asset purchase date) quite annoying. It is much quicker to type a date in but instead you have to click on a calendar, find the date you want and select it.&160; Perhaps the option of typing in the date or selecting one from the calendar would be of benefit not just for me but for others. We would appreciate the input of others on this...
